Like most blogs out there, whether people admit it or not, the purpose of this blog is to feed my narcissistic boredom. The intent is to discuss things that we see around us that are good, bad, or ugly. Anything from the current happenings at work or school to anything interesting that we see in the news or on television. The idea originally came from a need for an outlet to vent frustrations with people and the crap that we support in this society. It progressed as the idea stewed and culminated in this.
Some may also wonder, why is a blog called An Aleatoric Harangue posted at the url sonora516.com. Well, for those who don’t already know the history of Sonora 516, it was my dorm and room number during my freshman year of college. After we left, I decided to put up a site with a bunch of pictures and open it up to help us keep in touch. This was, of course, before Facebook was open to ASU, let alone the world, so it made sense. By the time Facebook started to pick up some real steam I was too busy to take care of the site and really give a crap about it and it ended up getting hacked due to my lack of updating the software it was running on. Eventually, it was so bad the whole thing had to be scrapped and I didn’t have the time to do anything more with it. Well, now that I am done with college, I have the time and desire to play with stuff and revive Sonora 516. We are bringing back the picture galleries from then as well as some of my own and I am inviting my old room mates and good firends to contribute new albums to the image gallery.
